Family Day @ City Libraries
Join us for a joyful, inclusive afternoon designed for families of all kinds to connect, celebrate, and enjoy stories, crafts, and activities that reflect the beautiful diversity of our community. Hosted in partnership with Feast Festival, this event welcomes everyone — children, teens, adults, and elders — to gather in a warm, welcoming space where all identities feel seen and celebrated.
Whether you're looking for a relaxed outing or a meaningful way to spend time together, this event is crafted with care for all ages. The library’s accessible layout and seated areas ensure everyone can participate comfortably. Bring your curiosity, your kids, your partner, your grandparents — no invitation needed, just an open heart.
Expect gentle, engaging activities inspired by queer creativity and community values: storytime with LGBTQIA+ themes, simple crafts, and quiet interactive stations. This is not a party with loud music or dancing — it’s a calm, thoughtful gathering perfect for families seeking connection without chaos. Snacks will be available, and all materials are provided.
“We wanted to create a space where every family — whether blended, chosen, single-parent, same-sex, intergenerational, or anything else — can feel at home,” said a Feast Festival organizer. “Libraries are the heart of our community, and this is about making that heart beat a little louder for everyone who walks through the door.”
Wheelchair accessible. No tickets required — just show up! Refunds available up to 7 days before the event if you’ve registered in advance.
