LGBTI+ & Dementia: Stories, Practical Skills & Community Connections
Join us for a warm, welcoming afternoon designed to foster connection and understanding around dementia within our LGBTI+ communities. Whether you’re living with dementia, supporting a loved one, or simply want to learn more, this session offers space to share experiences, ask questions, and build community in a safe and inclusive environment.
This event is led by Jo Young, ECH’s dedicated dementia support coordinator, with a special panel of community members who will share their personal journeys and practical insights. Enjoy a relaxing pace, thoughtful conversation, and complimentary afternoon tea — because sometimes the best medicine is community, connection, and a good cuppa.
The event is intentionally designed for comfort and accessibility — wheelchair accessible, sensory-friendly, and seated arrangements ensure everyone can join with ease. Open to all aged 50+ — no prior experience or background needed, just your curiosity and heart.
This session is proudly presented as part of Feast Festival, Adelaide’s celebration of LGBTQIA+ arts and culture. It’s more than an event — it’s a chance to feel seen, heard, and supported in your story.
