Dune But Worse – Ballarat

A quirky, community-driven evening designed to delight fans of absurdity and camp, this event brings an unexpected twist to the familiar desert saga — think sand, sass, and surprise snacks. No spoilers, but expect a laugh or two (or ten).

Hosted at the historic Ballarat Mechanics Institute, the space is wheelchair accessible and caters to those requiring balance aids — everyone’s welcome to kick back and enjoy the evening’s curated weirdness.

This is part of the Fringe Encore Ballarat season — a celebration of experimental, joyful, and slightly surreal arts across Ballarat. No performers or DJs are listed, so come ready to be surprised by whatever unfolds when the house lights dim.

The event runs for 50 minutes — perfect for a midweek treat that doesn’t demand a full night out. Grab a ticket, bring a friend, and prepare for the unexpected.
