Bloodlines

Bloodlines is a sparkling séance for queer art’s silenced legends — The Huxleys channeling artists lost to HIV/AIDS back into dazzling, defiant life through photography, video, costume and performance.

Ambitious in both scale and context, the work explores an evolving visual language and ideas of identity as they intersect with shared public space. Originally curated by Jacob Boehme, The Huxleys are represented by MARS gallery.

Presented by Brisbane Powerhouse, this exhibition invites you to witness a bold reimagining of queer heritage — where the past dances with the present in shimmering, larger-than-life installations.
