Brisbane welcomes the globally adored 15-meter-tall Rubber Duck to the Brisbane River / Maiwar for the very first time — an enchanting spectacle presented as part of Melt Festival’s 2026 edition. This larger-than-life public artwork, designed by internationally acclaimed Dutch artist Florentijn Hofman, transforms an everyday bath time icon into a gentle giant of public joy.

Since its debut, Rubber Duck has traveled to dozens of cities worldwide — from Hong Kong and Seoul to Amsterdam and São Paulo — bringing smiles and spontaneous selfies to millions. It’s not just art — it’s an invitation to reconnect with the childlike wonder we often forget in adult life.
