Brisbane Pride Festival

Brisbane Pride Festival

For over 30 years, Brisbane Pride Festival has been a cornerstone of Queensland’s LGBTQIA+ community, combining advocacy, celebration, and joy. Each year, the festival brings together thousands for a vibrant program of events that honour diversity, promote inclusion, and spark meaningful change.

The festival kicks off with the Rally and March — a powerful public demonstration of unity and resistance — beginning in Fortitude Valley and culminating in Fair Day at New Farm Park. Fair Day is a family-friendly extravaganza featuring live performances, food stalls, Rainbow Markets, and community spaces under the open sky.

The weekend peaks with the Queens Ball, held at Brisbane City Hall. This elegant evening combines live entertainment, heartfelt storytelling, and a glittering awards ceremony that recognises outstanding members of the queer community. Whether you’re attending in formal wear or casual pride gear, it’s a night to remember.

Beyond the events, Brisbane Pride supports grassroots initiatives through community grants and fosters year-round engagement by inviting volunteers and members to help shape the festival’s future. The festival is proudly supported by the Queensland Government, Brisbane City Council, and media partners like QNews and the Star Observer.

More than a party, Brisbane Pride Festival is a movement — still marching, still dancing, still fighting for a more inclusive tomorrow.
