Calling all LGBTQIA+ athletes, casual players, and curious spectators — this is your moment to step onto the court and into the spotlight. Whether you're serving up killer volleys or just learning the rules, this friendly rivalry between Brisbane and the Gold Coast is all about fun, inclusivity, and a little healthy competition.

Hosted by Rainbow Pickleball Brisbane and Pride Outside, this event embraces every level of play. Beginners and intermediates will have their own pools, so don’t worry if you’re new to the game — we’ve got you covered. Just bring your enthusiasm and your best sportsmanship (kindness is our default setting).

The action goes down at Rebound Stadium — fully undercover, rain or shine — so you won’t miss a beat whether the skies are grey or gloriously blue. Fuel up with complimentary hydration and protein samples courtesy of Elite Supps Burleigh Heads, then unwind afterwards with drinks and snacks at the Burleigh Town Hotel (just let the crew know if you’re joining so they can reserve a spot).

Logistics & Vibe

• Basic understanding of pickleball is recommended — no formal coaching will be provided, just good old-fashioned gameplay.
• Car pooling is encouraged. There’s a handy register to share rides and costs — and maybe make a new friend or two along the way. Be respectful, offer fuel money, and stay on schedule.
• Photos may be taken during the event, including a group shot, for social media. If you’d rather not be in them, just let the organisers know — your preference is honoured without question.
• This is a community event, so all attendees agree to uphold a welcoming, respectful environment for everyone in the LGBTQIA+ spectrum. That’s non-negotiable.
