Ever wanted to swing a paddle while dressed as a gherkin? Or maybe you just live for any excuse to don a costume? This Halloween, Pride Outside is turning Elanora’s Rebound Stadium into a delightfully spooky pickleball court where fun, inclusivity, and silly outfits collide.

Bring your favorite Halloween gear — costumes are encouraged, and the best-dressed player gets a prize. Whether you’re a seasoned pickleball player or you’ve never held a paddle before, this is a low-pressure, high-laughter affair designed to connect, giggle, and get active. Seasoned players: be the welcoming face for newbies — your patience will be appreciated.

The event will be held indoors under cover, so don’t let the weather scare you off. Stick around after the game for drinks and socializing at the Burleigh Town Hotel — just let the host know if you’re joining so they can reserve a table.

What to Expect

• Free paddle hire — just show up and play
• Warm-up session starting at 11am
• Group card draw system to rotate courts fairly
• Games run in 11-minute rounds with 4-minute breaks
• Optional photo session — let the host know if you’d prefer to opt out
• Onsite cafe for pizza and drinks

This is a LGBTQIA+ inclusive space. All players agree to treat each other with kindness and respect — no exceptions. Organisers are volunteers, so please come prepared with your own health and safety awareness.
