Bi+ Awareness Week: 'The Thing about Bis'

To celebrate Bi+ Awareness Week 2026, a coalition of community organisations including Bi+ Pride Victoria, the Office of the Commissioner for LGBTIQA+ Communities, Switchboard Victoria, Thorne Harbour Health, and Northside Counselling Solutions are hosting ‘The Thing about Bis’ — a thoughtful panel discussion, film screening, and social gathering designed for the bi+ and pansexual community and their allies.

Expect an evening that blends insight, representation, and connection. Join a panel of respected voices as they discuss the validity, richness, and complexity of bi+ and pansexual identities. Topics will touch on belonging, disclosure, relationships, family dynamics, media representation, and how we shape — and are shaped by — the stories told about us.

The night includes a screening of the charming 2020 indie film The Thing about Harry, a sweet, affirming romantic comedy about two former high school rivals who rediscover each other — and themselves — on a shared road trip.
