Double Incision: A Night for Community, Care, and Celebration

Step into a night of solidarity, sound, and soul at Double Incision — a grassroots-powered soirée curated by and for BIPOC and queer young folks in Naarm. This isn’t just another event — it’s a love letter to community care, wrapped in pulsing beats, glittering energy, and unapologetic joy.

Headlined by the magnetic ballroom icon and live artist Julai, this evening’s lineup delivers a sonic journey you won’t forget. Joining Julai on the decks are the genre-blurring sound architects: Brown Suga Princess, Girl Whatever, Primary Thug, and CTRL-V. Expect everything from jungle to footwork, ballroom beats to heavy bass — each set infused with cunty swagger, queer euphoria, and the kind of rhythm that moves more than just your feet.

This event isn’t just about dancing — it’s about impact. All proceeds are split equally between Spider’s Top Surgery Fund and The Mob Strong Fund. Spider (@spideristrap), a South Asian-Australian visual artist, musician, and live sound engineer living in transitional housing, is raising funds for gender-affirming surgery — with any extra going straight into urgent mutual aid for our community.

Sliding scale tickets make this night accessible to all: $15–$50 (or pay what you can). And for our First Nations guests? Entry is completely free — because care starts with inclusion.

Whether you’re here to sweat under the lights, support a fellow artist, or simply vibe with your chosen family — you belong here. Come as you are. Move however you feel. And let’s make magic — together.
