Welcome to DSC@VPC
Every Saturday from 12pm to 4pm (excluding public holidays), the Victorian Pride Centre hosts its trusted Justice of the Peace Document Signing Centre — a warm, accessible, and affirming space for our community to get official documents witnessed and certified with care.
Whether you need help with affidavits, statutory declarations, passport applications, or simply want to get forms stamped with confidence, our volunteer Justices of the Peace are here — fully trained, LGBTQIA+ affirming, and ready to assist with kindness and discretion.
This free community service is designed to reduce barriers and create a safe, inclusive environment for everyone — including lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and gender diverse, intersex, queer, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, people of colour, people living with disability, refugee and asylum seekers, multicultural and multifaith community members.
The Centre is wheelchair accessible and conducted entirely in English. No appointment is required — just swing by, say hello, and get your documents sorted in a space that sees and supports you.
Why it matters
In a world where bureaucracy can feel alienating or intimidating — especially for those who’ve been marginalised — having a supportive, informed, and welcoming place to get official paperwork done is more than convenience. It’s dignity. It’s inclusion. It’s the quiet, consistent work that builds trust and safety within our community.
As one community member shared:
“I didn’t know where to go for my passport renewal until I found this place. The JP took time to explain everything — no judgment, no rush. Just helpful, human, and respectful.”
Bring your ID, forms, and any questions — we’ll handle the rest. We’ve got tea, a smile, and zero red tape.
Who’s behind it?
Organised by RVAHJ in collaboration with the Victorian Pride Centre, DSC@VPC embodies the spirit of community care — where services are tailored with cultural safety and accessibility at their core.
Accessibility features: Wheelchair accessible entrance and facilities. Quiet areas available upon request.
