Justice, Accessibility, and Community at the Heart of VPC
At the Victorian Pride Centre, we believe inclusion isn’t just a word — it’s an action. That’s why we’re proud to host the Justice of the Peace Document Signing Centre (DSC@VPC), a welcoming, accessible, and affirming space where community members can get important documents certified, witnessed, or notarised with care and respect.
This isn’t about paperwork — it’s about people. Whether you’re updating legal documents post-transition, preparing for a visa application, or simply needing a signature for a form that matters, the DSC@VPC offers a safe, understanding environment where your identity and dignity are respected.
- Free service, no appointment needed — drop in anytime between 12pm and 4pm (local time).
- Wheelchair accessible, LGBTQIA+ affirming, and multilingual support available (English-speaking JPs on-site).
- Open to all: Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans and Gender Diverse, Intersex, Queer, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, People of Colour, People living with disability, Refugee & Asylum seekers, Multicultural, and Multifaith communities.
- Justice workers trained in cultural safety and trauma-informed practice.
“Our aim is to lower the barriers that too many in our community face when accessing basic legal services,” says RVAHJ, the organiser behind the initiative. “This isn’t just about getting a document signed — it’s about showing up for each other, especially when systems aren’t built for us.”
Bring your documents, your questions, and your trust — we’ve got your back. No paperwork left behind.
