Saturday Sizzle

Warm sun, sizzling sausages, and good vibes — that’s the Saturday Sizzle formula. Held at the heart of Melbourne’s LGBTQIA+ community, this daytime gathering is your invitation to unwind, reconnect, and celebrate the simple joy of being together under the open sky.

Hosted by the Victorian Pride Centre, this event welcomes everyone across the LGBTQIA+ spectrum — including lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans and gender diverse, intersex, queer, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, people of colour, people living with disability, refugee and asylum seekers, multicultural and multifaith communities. Wheelchair accessible and designed with inclusion in mind, it’s a space where every attendee can feel comfortable and celebrated.

Grab a sausage from the rooftop sizzle — classic, veggie and possibly something with a little extra swagger — and wander through the Gay Stuff Markets. Think handmade crafts, queer art, local designers, zines, and small business gems you won’t find anywhere else. This is more than shopping; it’s supporting the creativity and resilience of our community.

There’s no lineup to chase or set times to stress about — this is your chance to show up, slow down, and let the rhythm of the day unfold naturally.
