DSC@VPC – Justice of the Peace Document Signing Centre
Need to get documents witnessed, certified, or signed? The Victorian Pride Centre is here to help — with care, confidentiality, and zero cost. Our Justice of the Peace Document Signing Centre is a welcoming, inclusive space designed for our LGBTQIA+ community and allies, ensuring everyone — regardless of identity, background, or ability — can access essential civic services with dignity.
Whether you’re preparing a statutory declaration, certifying a copy of your passport, or just need a witness for a form, our trained JPs are on hand to assist. This isn’t just about paperwork — it’s about building trust, safety, and accessibility within our community. We know navigating bureaucracy can feel daunting, especially if you’ve faced discrimination or barriers before. That’s why we’ve made this space intentionally calm, respectful, and free of hassle.
Our sessions are held every Saturday from 12pm to 4pm (excluding public holidays), so you can drop in at your convenience. No appointments needed — just bring your ID, your documents, and your questions. Our team operates within a fully wheelchair-accessible venue, and we’re proud to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, people of colour, people with disability, refugees and asylum seekers, and multicultural and multifaith communities. All services are delivered in English, and our JPs are trained in cultural safety and trauma-informed practice.
There’s no pressure, no judgment — just a helping hand when you need it most. This initiative was born from the idea that everyone deserves access to justice and civic support, regardless of who they are or where they’ve come from. Whether you’re new to Australia, starting fresh after a transition, or simply needing a reliable local service — you’re welcome here.
Our venue is the Victorian Pride Centre, a hub for LGBTQIA+ connection, creativity, and care since 2021. It’s more than a building — it’s a space built by community, for community. So come on in, take a seat, and let’s get those documents sorted — together.
