Dumplings Against Depression 2026: Momo Edition

Thorne Harbour Health returns with a community stall at Dumplings Against Depression, now featuring Nepalese momos — a warm, comforting twist on the annual mental health gathering. Bring your curiosity, your appetite, and your stories, as this year’s event welcomes you to share a free plate of momos and meaningful conversations at the Victorian Pride Centre.

This gathering is all about bridging communities — for LGBTQIA+ folks, people with lived experience of mental health challenges, students, clinicians, carers, and allies. It’s more than food: it’s connection, storytelling, and solidarity over steamy dumplings and laughter.

Last year, over 250 people joined at the Immigration Museum — and this year, the energy will be even stronger in St Kilda. Whether you’ve been coming for years or this is your first time, you’re welcome here. No agenda, no pressure — just delicious food and real conversations.

Organised in partnership with Australians for Intersectionality and Diversity in Mental Health (AIDMH), the event creates safe, warm spaces where cultural identity, mental wellbeing, and belonging intersect. Think of it as a potluck of healing — where your story matters, your culture is celebrated, and your presence is enough.
