Dysphoria in Memoriam

Join us for a poignant, witty, and deeply human evening of storytelling and performance at Comedy Republic. Hosted by Han Arbuthnott, Dysphoria in Memoriam blends comedy, monologue, and heartfelt reflection to explore what it means to live, laugh, and love while navigating gender identity in a world not always built for us.

This isn't just another stand-up night — it’s a fundraiser with heart, designed to support access to gender-affirming care for those who need it most. Every ticket sold helps someone move closer to the care that can change their life.

The evening kicks off with doors opening at 5:00pm, so arrive early to grab a drink and settle in. The show begins at 6:00pm sharp, running for 90 minutes without intermission. Expect a mix of seasoned comics and fresh voices, all united by vulnerability, resilience, and the power of shared stories.

Performers will take the stage in a carefully curated order to create an arc that moves from laughter to contemplation — and back again. While we won’t spoil the surprise lineup here, rest assured, you’ll leave with full hearts, sore cheeks from smiling, and maybe even a few new favorite comedians.

This event is for everyone — whether you’re LGBTQIA+, an ally, or just curious — all are welcome. The bar opens at 5:00pm, serving drinks to help set the mood for an evening that’s as much about community as it is about comedy.

Please note that the venue requires climbing 47 stairs to reach the performance space, and currently does not offer wheelchair accessibility. We’re working with Comedy Republic to improve accessibility in the future — and your feedback is welcomed.
