Every Shade of Queer

Step into a vibrant tapestry of global queer stories, where love, identity, and self-discovery unfold across continents. This special screening at ACMI brings together seven poignant short films that capture the nuance, joy, and resilience of LGBTQIA+ lives — from Mumbai to Manchester, and everywhere in between.

Experience the delicate romance of 'Aman' (India), the surreal absurdity of 'A Minor Glitch' (France), and the bold intimacy of 'B' (Brazil). Feel the quiet longing in 'Between Polar Glasses' (China), the fiery spark of 'Mutually Assured Destruction' (New Zealand), and the tender ache of 'Never Never Never' (also NZ). Close the evening with the witty, wordplay-rich 'Vocabulary' from the UK.

Perfect for film lovers, queer culture enthusiasts, and anyone who believes storytelling is the heart of community — this night promises laughter, tears, and a warm reminder that our stories, in all their shades, matter.
