Genesis 2 Year Anniversary

Come one, come all to a celebration of TWO YEARS worth of Drag Kings and Things at Genesis! It’s rare for shows like this to carve out such a lasting space — and we’re throwing a proper party to mark the milestone.

This special night will spotlight stars voted most memorable by you over the past year — including Miss Gender, Dante Van-Go-There, and Maxectomy — and welcome Egbert Galarga making their scene debut. Of course, no Genesis is complete without Red Shift, who’s been on more stages here than anyone, so expect co-hosting duties alongside Randy for the evening.

Got表演 chops? There’s an open stage face/off and impersonation segment — dress as your favourite drag performer and sign up on the night for a 90-second slot. Just make sure your chosen artist is cool with being portrayed!

Accessibility notes: Masks are required — N95s provided at the door. Cafe Gummo is partially wheelchair accessible via ramp (request upon arrival); the accessible restroom is at the rear (tight corridor — larger chairs may have difficulty). No strobes or flashing lights will be used.

Genesis takes place on the unceded lands of the Wurundjeri people of the Kulin Nation. We pay our respects to their elders past and present, and to the long history of storytelling that has taken place in the land where we gather to perform.
