GENESIS: Drag Kings and Things — Spooky Edition & Pen Pal Exchange!

Get ready for a delightfully eerie Sunday evening at Cafe Gummo, where the stage transforms into a spooky playground for Drag Kings and Things. This special edition of GENESIS invites you to celebrate the season with bold, theatrical performances, creative costumes, and just the right amount of playful spookiness — think glitter ghosts, ghoulish glam, and queer magic galore.

But that’s not all — we’re also hosting a heartfelt Pen Pal Exchange! Write letters to drag artists overseas who identify as Kings or Things — it’s a chance to share stories, send support, and spark international queer connections. Bring your creativity, your favourite pen, and maybe even a spooky mask if you’re feeling extra seasonal.

Co-hosted by the fabulous @itmegoo, this event is designed to be welcoming, low-pressure, and full of camaraderie. Whether you’re a seasoned drag enthusiast, a curious newbie, or just looking for something delightfully different on a Sunday night, you’ll find your tribe here.

Pro tip: The event is free to attend, and there’s even a Drag Swap Box — bring something you no longer wear and take home something new. It’s sustainability with sequins.

Don’t miss this unique blend of performance, connection, and Halloween spirit — all wrapped up in one unforgettable night.
