GENESIS: Emerging Artists Showcase
Naarm’s Drag King and Thing scene is blossoming — and this night is its brightest spotlight. A curated platform for bold, boundary-pushing talent from the trans and gender diverse community, GENESIS gives space for artists to experiment, evolve, and shine.
Hosted with effortless charm by Dragon Yutahell and Johnny Cocksville — two stalwarts of the local scene — the evening promises a mix of mischief and meaning. Expect acts that twist tradition, defy expectations, and celebrate identity with creativity, not cliché. This isn’t about spectacle for spectacle’s sake — it’s about giving artists the runway to truly stretch their wings.
The event is proudly supported by Transgender Victoria, whose workshops have helped these performers refine their craft and amplify their voices. Whether you’re new to the scene or a seasoned spectator, you’re guaranteed to leave inspired.
