A Celebration of First Nations LGBTQIA+ Cinema

Get ready for an extraordinary showcase of Indigiqueer excellence through a collection of groundbreaking short films that speak from the heart of First Nations communities. This special event brings together voices from Turtle Island (Canada), Aotearoa (New Zealand), and Australia, offering visions that challenge imposed narratives and reimagine cinema through Indigenous lenses of connection, resistance, and queerness.

• Pidikwe - A Teddy Award-nominated masterpiece exploring female empowerment and cultural reclamation
• Picking Crew - A tender exploration of Pasifika masculinity and queer desire in rural New Zealand
• Wait, Wait, Now! - A heartwarming tale of childhood freedom and gender expression
• Organza's Revenge - A quirky space odyssey that cleverly satirizes the art world
• Ata Pūao - A powerful story of a young Māori trans woman navigating urban life
• Cherries - A cheeky comedy about first-time experiences
• Stranger Brother - A Sundance-premiered exploration of family reconnection
