Kick – Opening Party

Join us for the Australian premiere of Kick, a powerful documentary directed by Julia Schwalb. Follow Nikki Hiltz, America’s fastest 1500m runner, as they navigate the complexities of being trans and nonbinary in the high-stakes world of elite sports. This compelling story blends athleticism, identity, and resilience, and is guaranteed to leave you inspired.

After the screening, stay for a post-film celebration featuring a curated grazing table and craft beverages from our hospitality partners: Stomping Ground Brewing Co, Squealing Pig Wines, The Melbourne Gin Company, and Matéo Soda. It’s the perfect blend of culture, conversation, and community — all in one unforgettable evening.

This event is proudly part of the Melbourne Queer Film Festival, offering a spotlight on stories that matter, told with heart and authenticity.
