Lesbian Collaging December
Grab your scissors, glue sticks, and creative spirit for a relaxed afternoon of collaging designed just for lesbians and sapphics. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or haven’t touched glue since primary school, this is your space to cut, paste, and create without judgment.
All materials are provided — think vintage magazines, glitter, stickers, and textured paper — so you can focus on the fun, not the prep. This isn’t about making masterpieces; it’s about showing up, making something, and connecting with others who get it.
We warmly welcome First Nations attendees — your entry is free as a gesture of respect and inclusion. Just select the appropriate ticket option when you register.
The vibe is cozy and chill: expect background music, natural light, and no pressure to perform or socialise if you’re not feeling it. Photography may occur for social media, so let us know if you’d prefer to stay out of frame.
Balam Balam Place is fully accessible: wide corridors, flat concrete paths, ramps, and accessible toilets mean everyone can navigate the space comfortably. Overhead lighting keeps things bright and welcoming.
This session is hosted by Collage Catch Up — a community-focused group that believes art is for everyone, especially those who’ve been told it’s not “their thing.” Come as you are, leave with a collaged affirmation or wild abstract creation.
No refunds are available, so please plan ahead. We’re here to make space — and glue — for all of us.
