Game on, queers! Fortress Melbourne is throwing open its doors for another epic LGBTQIA+ Gaming Session — because who said gaming had to be solo when you can queue up with your community? Whether you're a Switch-slinging pro or a board game newbie, you’re welcome at this joy-filled meetup from 12pm to 3pm AEST.

Grab a controller, a seat, and maybe a drink (the bar’s got you covered — BYO’s a no-go, but hey, that’s what happy hour is for 😏). We’ve got Nintendo Switches loaded with Mario Kart and Super Smash Bros., Jackbox for some chaotic laughs, giant Jenga, Connect 4, and a whole library of board games. Bring your own decks or consoles too — MTG, Steam Deck, or that DS you kept from 2008? We’ll make space for it all.

Pro tip: Arrive early to snag a table and jump into long-form games. Latecomers? No stress — our admins (look for the Gaymers lanyards) will find you a spot that’s perfect for jumping in. New to the scene? There’s even a newbies group to help you find your squad.

Fortress is wheelchair accessible, chill on the noise, and all vibes — no jerks, no hate, no exceptions. If anything feels off, flag an admin right away. We’re here for fun, not friction.
