Nature Therapy, November
This month’s Nature Therapy session is a gentle, grounding invitation for transgender, nonbinary, and gender diverse folks to reconnect with the quiet magic of the natural world. Hosted by Kayte — a gardener, teacher, and counsellor with over 25 years of experience — this session offers a safe, welcoming space to pause, breathe, and let nature do its quiet work on your spirit.
Whether you’re looking to unplug from screens, process the week, or simply enjoy stillness among trees and birdsong, this is a space where you can show up exactly as you are — no performance, no pressure. Kayte’s guided activities are designed to deepen your relationship with nature and give you tools you can return to at home, in your garden, or even just on your balcony.
While the group is neurodivergent, POC, and all-abilities friendly, it’s also a space crafted with care for trans and nonbinary comfort and safety. A member from Transgender Victoria will be onsite at the park location to assist with safety and wayfinding. The exact park address in Brunswick/Brunswick East will be emailed after you register — so you can keep your peace of mind until it’s time to step outside.
Kayte’s approach is rooted in gentle observation and intuitive connection — think walking meditation, nature journaling prompts, and silent sitting in the shade, not intense hikes or loud group games. Bring a water bottle, a small blanket or cushion, and your sense of curiosity. Let the trees hold you, the breeze brush you, and the rustle of leaves remind you: you belong here, too.
If you have questions or specific access needs, feel free to reach out to coordinator@tgv.org.au. This group is for those 16 and over — and we encourage you to bring your whole self, whether that includes walking sticks, assistive devices, or snacks for your energy needs.
Let nature be your guide, your mirror, your soft place to land.
