Panel Discussion: Building Trans-Inclusive Sport - A Conversation with Pride Cup
Join us for a warm, thoughtful, and community-focused panel discussion exploring how to create truly welcoming spaces in sport for transgender, gender diverse, and non-binary athletes. Hosted at the vibrant Affirmation Station in Brunswick East, this evening will bring together passionate advocates, athletes, and organisers committed to equity and belonging in athletics.
We’ll hear from Aisling Haugh, Marnee Silver, Eleanor Watson, and Saph — each bringing lived experience and leadership to the conversation. The panel will be facilitated by Rudy Jean Rigg, whose thoughtful moderation will guide us through the challenges and triumphs of building inclusive sporting communities across Australia.
This is more than just sport — it’s about culture, safety, policy, and joy. Whether you’re an athlete, a coach, a fan, a parent, or simply someone who cares about fairness and community, you’re welcome here.
The space at Affirmation Station is wheelchair accessible, neurodivergent-friendly, POC-inclusive, and welcoming to people of all abilities. We encourage everyone to come as you are — no prior knowledge or experience in sport required.
It’s going to be a thoughtful, inspiring, and hopeful evening — the kind of conversation that seeds real change.
