Piano Karaoke
Sing along under warm lights, accompanied by live piano magic. This isn’t your average karaoke — it’s a cozy, inclusive gathering where everyone’s voice is welcome, whether you’re belting a power ballad or enjoying the show from your seat.
Hosted by Rosie Rai, this evening turns Studio Take Care into a welcoming sing-out-loud sanctuary. The piano starts at 7:30pm — so arrive early to grab a drink, settle in, and soak up the vibe.
The studio’s queer-positive ethos means you’re free to be exactly who you are — no judgment, just joy. It’s a space designed for connection, celebration, and letting loose without the pressure to perform perfection.
Free entry, but bookings are essential — don’t leave it to chance. You’ll find a bar serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, so whether you’re sipping mocktails or cocktails, you’ll be hydrated and happy.
Accessibility
Our space is accessed via stairs — currently not wheelchair accessible. We’re actively working on making improvements, and we appreciate your understanding while we seek funding to welcome more mobility-needs guests.
Getting Here
Located on Lygon Street, Studio Take Care is best reached via tram 1 or 6 — just hop off at a nearby stop and enjoy the stroll. The closest ramp-accessible tram stop is Nicholson Street (stop 21 on the 96), a 950m walk away. Jewell train station is 1.7km — or park at Loyola Avenue if street parking on Pitt St feels like a lottery.
Feeling active? We’ve got two fixed bike racks out front. And if you’re walking from Loyola, no street crossing required — bonus points for convenience.
We acknowledge the Wurundjeri people as the Traditional Owners of this land. Sovereignty was never ceded — and Studio Take Care supports this truth through monthly contributions to paytherent.net.
