Rocky Horror Picture Show

Get ready to do the Time Warp again! Celebrate the cult classic that started it all with a midnight-movie-style screening at Cinema Nova. This gender-diverse, queer, and delightfully spooky musical remains a cornerstone of LGBTQIA+ cinema — perfect for new fans and seasoned fans alike.

Directed by Jim Sharman and originally released in 1975, this M-rated gem blends horror and song in ways only the midnight movie circuit could invent. Expect laughter, audience participation, and unforgettable moments — just remember: don’t dream it, be it.

This screening is part of the Melbourne Queer Film Festival’s 2026 retrospective program, spotlighting films that shaped queer expression on screen.
