Australian Premiere: Summer's Camera

In this dreamy and beautifully shot coming-of-age drama, a teenage girl's journey of self-discovery unfolds through the lens of her father's camera. After inheriting her recently deceased father's camera, Summer develops film that reveals an unexpected truth - photographs of her father's secret partner, a man she never knew existed.

As Summer navigates through her grief, she embarks on two parallel journeys: unraveling the mystery of her father's hidden life while experiencing the flutter of her first crush. This tender exploration of love, loss, and identity showcases the delicate intersection of family secrets and personal awakening.

Making its Australian premiere after a successful world premiere at BFI Flare Film Festival in London, this South Korean gem offers a rare and intimate portrayal of queer relationships across generations. Director Divine Sung crafts a gentle narrative that beautifully captures the nuances of grief while celebrating the tender moments of discovering one's true self.
