T4T: A Transgender Showcase

Melbourne’s most exclusive trans spectacular returns for its fifth year — a one-night-only celebration of Australia’s most incredible transgender performers. This is an electric, euphoric, joyful, and powerful night that creates a sanctuary for the gender non-conforming. It’s a space where being trans is the norm, where no explanations are required, and where performers and audiences can be authentically, unapologetically, defiantly themselves.

For five years, T4T has curated and presented amazing lineups of all-trans performers for all-trans audiences. It’s the largest gathering of trans people in Australia outside of a pride parade — but without marching or corporate sponsors. Expect burlesque, music, drag, poetry, genre-defying performances, and even comedy — all created by trans artists.

This event is by the trans community, for the trans community. It’s for trans folk, non-binary folk, those who have fled the confines of gender, and anyone who isn’t cis. (Cis people are allowed, but not encouraged — self-monitored and no justification required.)

Hosted by Anna Piper Scott and produced by Kip McLachlin, this showcase is an annual tradition that celebrates trans excellence. The event includes Auslan interpretation and wheelchair accessibility. Content features haze, low audience interaction, some nudity, and strong coarse language. Mental health, queerphobia, and self-harm themes may be discussed.
