TITANI-ACS! - The Unsinkable Drag Parody
AHOY, welcome aboard the drag parody of dreams! After an epic run at ‘Sircuit’ in 2024, Melbourne’s drag icons, Izzy Inyette and Linh Uendo, embark on a glittery, gay Melbourne Fringe Festival maiden voyage to celebrate the drama, romance, and hyper-fixation of the 1997 blockbuster epic — with drag, burlesque, and PUPPETS!
Don’t miss out on your first-class ticket to open the door once more to the story of star-cross-dressed lovers, the majesty of a ship from 100 years ago, and the unsinkable gayness and nostalgia of a classic 90s film, with TITANI-ACS!: The Unsinkable Drag Parody!
Taking cruising to a whole new level, Linh, Izzy, and their crew — Clita Mania, Roxy Rawhide, and Maxectomy — will show you in 60 minutes (in less time than James Cameron!) just how queer a grand ocean-liner in the middle of the TRANS-Atlantic Sea, full of opulence, wigs, burlesque, puppets, seamen, and crew, can really be — and they settle the infamous debate once and for all: Can a near 4ft blue puppet, dressed like Leonardo DiCaprio, fit on a massive door set piece?
TITANI-ACS! follows the story of two star-cross-dressed lovers, Rose (played by Linh Uendo/Izzy Inyette), a poor little rich drag queen sick and tired of the hetero-normative lifestyle forced upon her by her fiancé Cal (Roxy Rawhide) and her sapphic-repressed mother (Clita Mania). Jack, an artistic, free-spirited, fuzzy and blue guy — who may or may not like a fist or two — sweeps her off her feet. Sparks and saliva fly between Rose and Jack aboard a great ocean-liner, but when the ship rams into the fiercest iceberg (Maxectomy) in the TRANS-Atlantic Sea, Rose and Jack’s steamy, sexy, and a little bit zesty romance changes into a gag-worthy race for survival.
Don’t miss your 1st class ticket to open the door once more to TITANI-ACS! — a show that looks camp right in the eye and says, “We will never, ever, EVER let go!”
