Trans Day of Remembrance Vigil

Join us for a solemn and empowering evening of remembrance, reflection, and resilience at the Fitzroy Town Hall. This annual vigil honors the lives of transgender, non-binary, and gender diverse people lost to violence over the past year — and reaffirms our collective commitment to justice, safety, and belonging.

Hosted by Transgender Victoria (TGV) and Affirmation Station, the evening features heartfelt speeches from community advocates, moving performances from local artists, and a gentle social hour to connect with others who care deeply about trans rights and dignity.

Everyone is welcome — whether you’re attending for the first time or returning year after year. Registration is encouraged, but not required. We’ve made sure to include accessibility features and have support services on hand to ensure this space remains safe and affirming for all.
