Trans Life Drawing with Frances Cannon, August
Calling all artists, dreamers, and queer creatives! Join the legendary Frances Cannon (they/them) from Pink Ember Studio for an intimate, affirming, and wildly creative life drawing session at Affirmation Station. This 2-hour workshop is designed for everyone—absolute beginners, seasoned pros, and everyone in between—with supportive guidance from Frances and the stunning presence of model Georgia (they/them/she). All materials provided. No experience? No stress. Just bring your curiosity and your queerness.
Why you’ll love it: Frances’s work dives deep into fat positivity, gender, sexuality, myth, and magic—so expect your sketches to feel like sacred acts. This isn’t just drawing—it’s community, catharsis, and queer joy in pencil and charcoal form.
For the community, by the community: This session is strictly 18+ and reserved for transgender, gender diverse, and nonbinary folx. A $5 refundable deposit applies (refunded if you attend or cancel 2+ days ahead). Facing financial barriers? Email coordinator@tgv.org.au—we’ve got you.
COVID care = community care: We’re keeping things safe with free N95/K94 masks, open windows, hand sanitizer, and air purifiers. Take a RAT test before you come, wear your fave mask if you can, and if you’re feeling unwell—stay home, cancel, and rest. Your safety is non-negotiable.
