Trans Life Drawing with Frances Cannon, December

Join us for an uplifting and affirming 18+ life drawing session designed especially for transgender, gender diverse, and nonbinary people. Facilitated by acclaimed artist Frances Cannon, this intimate gathering invites you to explore form, expression, and self through the lens of gentle creativity.

This isn’t your standard art class — it’s a safe space to breathe, connect, and create without performance. Whether you’re a seasoned sketcher or picking up a pencil for the first time, you’re welcome here. Materials are provided, so just bring your curiosity and maybe a comfy pair of pants.

Our model for the evening is Georgia — a talented artist and advocate who brings grace and presence to every pose. Frances will guide you through gentle exercises and prompts to ease into the rhythm of observation, encouraging you to focus less on perfection and more on presence.

We’ve taken care to create a calm, inclusive environment: masks are encouraged, the space is well-ventilated, and air purifiers are running to keep everyone comfortable. Hand sanitizer stations are dotted around the studio so you can navigate the space at your own ease.

This is more than an art class — it’s an act of community. It’s a chance to sit with others who understand the subtle power of being seen, and to witness the beauty in each other’s journeys. Bring your whole self. Leave your self-criticism at the door.

Whether you’re looking for a creative reset, a gentle social moment, or a chance to reconnect with your body through art, this session is a loving invitation to show up as you are.
