Water Lilies (2007)

A tender, quietly powerful coming-of-age drama set against the shimmering backdrop of a French swimming pool. Three teenage girls navigate the complex, often confusing waters of desire, identity, and friendship during one summer break — where every splash holds meaning, and every glance holds a story.

This beautifully observed French film is a must-watch for fans of nuanced queer storytelling. Perfect for those who appreciate cinema that lingers in the spaces between emotion and silence.

Screening as part of the Melbourne Queer Film Festival 2026 — a celebration of diverse LGBTQIA+ voices and stories on screen.
