WEIRD- C*ntry Hoedown Edition

Grab your boots and dust off your cowboy hats — we’re throwing the strangest, sweatiest, most delightful hoedown this side of the Hunter Valley. Think line dancing meets surreal vibes, with a whole lot of glitter-free charm (promise).

Hosted by the wild minds behind Weird (@weirdtheparty), this one-off extravaganza brings together a lineup that’s equal parts weird and wonderful. You’ll be tapping your toes to the beats of Neil E. Falik, Deirdre Doo, Sticky Waffles, Fox Pflueger, and DJ Queerio. And yes — there will be line dancing. Led by Cow Gays. Starting at 7pm. Because why not?

Doors open at 6:30pm, so arrive early to snag your favorite spot on the dance floor (or the bar). Best-dressed prizes will be awarded — bonus points if you go full C*untry chic. Think denim, fringes, and maybe a little sparkle — but keep it grounded in good taste (we’re not going full Rodeo clown).

This event takes place on the lands of the Awabakal & Worimi peoples. We pay our respects to Elders past, present, and emerging — and acknowledge that this land always was, always will be, Aboriginal land. Come with curiosity, leave with a smile.
