Sapphic Disco x LRCP: Go Sports! Edition

Grab your sneakers, dust off your team jerseys, or slip into your most playful activewear — Sapphic Disco and Lesbian Run Club Perth are teaming up for a fun, energetic, and cheerfully themed night that celebrates movement, music, and community.

This is a space designed for sapphic-identifying women, trans folks, and gender nonconforming people to let loose, dance, and connect without judgment. Think glitter-free athletic vibes, retro sports references, and a playlist that spans pop, disco, house, and queer anthems — all curated to get your heart pumping and your feet moving.

We’re inviting you to embrace your inner athlete — whether that means cheering from the sidelines or performing a victory lap on the dance floor. Bonus points if you show up in rainbow knee-highs or a sequin tank top. No costume? No stress. Comfort is key — come as you are, and be welcomed exactly as you are.

Enjoy cocktail specials, free lollipops and candy necklaces, and a little bit of sparkle courtesy of bubble wands on the dance floor. From 9pm to 10pm, Upbeat Ink will be offering free tiny tattoos — a sweet, temporary accessory to mark your night out. (Pay-as-you-go after 10pm.)

The soundtrack will be led by a rotating line-up of DJs — names to be announced, so follow Sapphic Disco on Instagram for updates. Live performers will also bring added energy to the evening — stay tuned for more surprises.

We’re committed to keeping this space safe and accessible. All attendees are expected to respect the safety, comfort, and boundaries of others. Consent is non-negotiable — ask before you touch. Anyone displaying inappropriate behavior will be asked to leave.

Free entry is available for First Nations folks, and complimentary tickets are extended to those experiencing financial difficulty — please reach out to request one.

This night is about community, joy, and making space for those who often don’t see themselves reflected in nightlife scenes. If you’re a gay or queer man considering attendance, please wear clothing and accessories that clearly signal your alignment with safe, celebratory queer energy — think bright colors, rainbow pins, and glittery accessories. Our goal is to preserve the sanctuary this event offers for its intended community.

We respectfully acknowledge the Traditional Custodians of this land, the Whadjuk Noongar people, and pay our respects to Elders past, present, and emerging. Always was, always will be, Aboriginal land.
