JUNIPERO: Drag King Takeover — Kings Are Back in Town & They’re Stealing the Show
Forget flannel — this winter the only way to stay warm is by saving a cowboy and riding a Drag King! The Kings have ganged together, seduced security, and stolen the keys to the Burdekin to take over the Juni stage for one night only. Expect a wild collision of cabaret, comedy, hip hop, and masculine drag — because while Queens often steal the spotlight, Kings are the underground legends and unsung trailblazers shaking up queer nightlife, one smirk, crotch-grab, or kickflip at a time.
Join us Saturday 8 August as our fave DJs GK & KEAVSZ spin the beats alongside KISSES & FUNLORO making their Juni debut. The stage will be set ablaze by:
- KAIZER — King of the gutter, serving major Billy Idol attitude.
- RAVI-OLI — Bringing Indian fusion, hip hop, and pop-and-lock together in a high-energy performance.
- JET-HO — Martial arts meets drag in a routine that’s equal parts precision and power.
- JOHNNY INEPT — AKA Lestat... a vamp-rock fever dream with leather, eyeliner, and bad decisions.
- WILLIAM SHAKEASS — A Y2K pop prince straight out of your teenage bedroom walls.
