Set the time machine to maximum fabulous for a nostalgic afternoon at the Newtown Hotel beer garden. Harbour City Bears is hosting an afternoon of classic retro sounds — from the rock 'n' roll of the 1950s and the shimmering disco fever of the ’70s, to the big hair and synth pop of the '80s, all the way to the guilty pleasures of the early 2000s.

Expect unforgettable hits from icons like Elvis, ABBA, Whitney Houston, Kylie Minogue, Madonna, Cher, the Spice Girls, and Aqua — plus many other beloved chart-toppers that defined entire eras. Whether you’re reliving your youth or discovering the classics for the first time, the soundtrack will be pure joy.

And because no retro party is complete without a dash of culinary nostalgia, we’ll be serving a selection of delightfully dreadful party snacks inspired by the legendary Women’s Weekly cookbooks. Think devilled eggs, cheese-and-pineapple hedgehogs, jellied surprises, and enough beige food to make your cardiologist nervous — all served in the height of ’70s sophistication.
