SQS Sundays #13 – Sculptures By The Sea @ Bondi + lunch
Join Sydney Queer Social for a relaxed, sun-soaked Sunday strolling along Bondi’s iconic coastline and soaking in one of Australia’s most beloved public art experiences — Sculptures by the Sea.
We’ll meet up at Promenade Beach Bar for coffee (or your morning drink of choice) and a chance to chat before heading out together along the scenic coastal walk from Bondi to Tamarama. The exhibition features stunning, large-scale artworks set against the dramatic ocean backdrop — perfect for photos, quiet reflection, or just enjoying the sea breeze with your community.
This is not your typical queer event — no clubs, no gogo dancers, no loud beats. Just good vibes, great conversation, and a little cultural enrichment. Think of it as your new favourite Sunday ritual — casual, inclusive, and unapologetically queer.
After the walk, stick around for lunch — we’ll reconvene at the bar or nearby spots to debrief, swap stories, and plan our next adventure.
Bring your sunscreen, sunglasses, comfy shoes, and a sense of wonder. Whether you’re new to the scene or a regular, this Sunday is a warm welcome to our growing community.
What to expect:
- Meet at Promenade Beach Bar for coffee and mingling
- Guided stroll along the Sculptures by the Sea exhibition from Bondi to Tamarama
- Optional group lunch afterwards
- No pressure, no performance, just good company
We believe that connection starts with showing up — and what better place to do that than with ocean views and art that moves you? Whether you’re looking to make new friends, enjoy some quiet reflection, or just enjoy the company of your queer community in an open, welcoming space — this is for you.
See you on the sand.
