All the Rage

Strap in for a fierce, sexy, and powerful photographic exhibition that flips fast fashion on its head and celebrates radical diversity. All the Rage is a dazzling collaboration between the award-winning Rawcus Ensemble, the eco-queer Fast Fashun Collective, and visionary photographer Pia Johnson. This isn't just art—it's a manifesto in chiffon and sequins, screaming for change.

Rawcus Theatre returns with their trademark blend of anarchy and precision. For over 24 years, this Port Phillip-based ensemble of 15 artists with and without disability has been crafting sculptural, unexpected, and tender performances under Co-Artistic Directors Katrina Cornwell and Morgan Rose. Their work is as gorgeous as it is grounded—in community, in imagination, and in truth.

Meet the Rawcus artists bringing this exhibition to life: Michael Buxton, Rachel Edward, Kerryn Poke, Paul Mately, Mike McEvoy, Ryan New, Nilgun Guven, Louise Riisik, Clement Baade, Harriet Devlin, Joshua Lynzaat, Isha Menon, Jorelene Lim, Swann Biquet, Heath O’Loughlan.

Fast Fashun Collective—Naarm’s queer climate warriors—turn textile waste into immersive, interactive installations. They’ve been recognized by the Green Room Awards and the Midsumma Art Award, and they’re here to make you rethink your wardrobe one frayed seam at a time. Their collective includes Tenfingerz, Famous Artist Sebastian Berto, Luna Aquatica, and Sarah Seahorse—decade-long collaborators using art as a tool for social and environmental justice.

Pia Johnson brings her lens to the project, weaving her expertise in cultural identity, belonging, and performance into every frame. Her mixed Chinese and Italian-Australian background infuses her work with a unique perspective on difference and desire.

This exhibition isn't just to be viewed—it's to be felt, questioned, and loved. A celebration of upcycled fashion, bodies, and boldness. Get ready to rage against the machine—stylishly.
