Australian Premiere at MQFF

Direct from the Venice Film Festival, this gorgeously realized sapphic odyssey offers an intimate glimpse into queer life in rural Greece. The film follows Argyro, a fierce and independent farmer, and Anneta, the village's glamorous manicurist, as they embark on one final mythical adventure before life threatens to separate them forever.

When Anneta reveals her pregnancy and plans to leave with her uninspiring cop boyfriend, Argyro suggests a quest to discover the legendary bear cave. What unfolds is a mesmerizing journey of transformation, desire, and self-discovery set against the backdrop of ancient mythology and sacred Greek landscapes.

This stunning feature presentation will be accompanied by the World Premiere of the Australian short film Ode (directed by Angie Kilsby), making this a truly special evening of queer cinema.
