Get ready for a groundbreaking performance that's already taken Sydney Fringe by storm! 🌟 CASTRATI by Kit Spencer is making its highly anticipated Melbourne debut at the Victorian Pride Centre.

In this mesmerizing exploration of voice, identity, and transformation, Kit Spencer creates a stunning bridge between the historical castrati and contemporary transgender experiences. Surrounded by palm leaves like ancient religious icons, Kit embodies a powerful duality - one side facing forward in bold red, the other turning away, perfectly capturing the complex existence of the castrati who were simultaneously celebrated and ostracized.

As a trans artist who has navigated the journey of vocal transition, Kit brings a uniquely personal perspective to this performance. Through his artistry, he poses profound questions about bodily autonomy, voice, and identity: Who gets to control how we sound? Who decides who we become? How does one rediscover their voice after a second puberty?

This isn't just a performance - it's a powerful meditation on the intersection of sacred and profane, history and present, celebration and rejection. Don't miss this extraordinary exploration of forgotten voices and contemporary resonances.
